How to Automate Announcing a New Launch on Social Media
Short answer: write the announcement once in a spreadsheet or in Buffer/Later, and use Make to publish it automatically across multiple platforms at the time you set, instead of logging into each app separately on launch day.
Two ways to do it, from simplest to most flexible
With a social scheduling tool (Buffer, Later, Metricool): upload the content once and schedule the date/time for each platform. The simplest option if you post on 2-3 networks.
With Make directly: build a scenario that, at a scheduled time, pulls the text and image from a spreadsheet and publishes them using each network's native modules (Instagram, X, LinkedIn). More flexible, but requires setting up each connection.
What to prepare before launch day
Announcement text adapted to each platform's tone (a LinkedIn post reads differently than an Instagram one).
The book cover or image in the right format for each platform.
The purchase link, tested in advance to confirm it works.
Scheduling the announcement in advance reduces the risk of last-minute errors (broken links, poorly cropped images) that are more common when publishing manually and in a rush on launch day itself.
