Short answer: keep your beta reader list in a Google Sheet, and use Make so that when you mark a row as "ready to send," it automatically triggers an email with the ARC file attached or a download link.
Why one mass email isn't enough
Unlike a generic lead magnet, beta readers often receive the book at different times (depending on when they signed up or which format they requested: PDF, EPUB, Kindle). Automating delivery row by row, instead of one mass email, lets you control exactly who gets which version and when.
How to set it up
Create a Google Sheet with columns: name, email, requested format, status (pending/sent).
In Make, use the "Row updated" trigger from Google Sheets, filtering for status "ready to send."
Connect the email-sending action with the file matching the requested format.
Add a final step that automatically changes the status to "sent," so you don't accidentally resend.
Keeping a clear record of who received the ARC and when also makes follow-up easier: knowing who to remind about leaving a review once the book is published.
